Yaletown is young, modern, very funky, and teeming with restaurants, one of a kind shops, and yuppies galore. I section this area off into three different categories.
As you go northwest into Yaletown from the water, you are getting into an area that resembles more of the downtown area. Not quite as close to the water, but the area definitely retains a distinctly yuppie feel.
This area is incredibly convenient to live in, as shops are literally at your doorstep – or sometimes in the very building that you live in. Many buildings have fantastic amenities including pools, Jacuzzis, Steam Rooms, Saunas, Gyms, Kayak Storage,, Theaters and yes, even bowling.
The soon to be completed RAV line to the airport will have an underground station located at Davie and Pacific, literally within a five minute walk from most of the neighborhood. The sky-train will connect with existing high speed rail infrastructure that is connected to the Pacific Center Mall, the Sea-Bus terminal connecting users to the North Shore, and all of the sky-train network that services some of the city’s suburban areas, including East Vancouver, Burnaby, New Westminster, Coquitlam, and Surrey.

Yaletown Waterfront, also known as the Marinaside Area, is comprised of Concord Pacific’s master planned community, stretching from the Granville Street Bridge, along False Creek to the Cambie Street Bridge. It is made up of thirty to forty story condo towers, and town-homes. It is definitely one of the priciest areas in the city. Here you will find parks on the water, tennis courts, an elementary school, and restaurants with sunny south facing patios.
