Coal Harbour

Coal Harbor is one of Vancouver’s pricier neighborhoods.  Most condos in this area are luxury developments – particularly those buildings along the water.  Many with excellent amenities such as Jacuzzis, pools, gyms and so on.  The area has a number of excellent restaurants including The Lift Restaurant and Cardero’s.

This neighborhood is still quite new, and is only recently getting some of the amenities that Yaletown, for example, have had for years.  Grocery Stores such as the New Safeway close by, and the new Urban Fare at the Shangri-La have been welcome additions.

The residents of this neighborhood take in spectacular views of the Burrard Inlet, Stanley Park and the North Shore mountains.  The view properties generally face north, with the exception of those suites very high up in the taller towers, which would offer excellent Southwest exposure and views of English Bay.

Coal Harbor tends to be a bit cooler than the Westend or Yaletown, as it is on the north side of the city and doesn’t get a lot of afternoon sun.  It is also a quieter area than Yaletown or Downtown.
